We offer boarding for your pet parrot. Small birds like finches, cockatiels start from $7 per day, medium birds like African Greys, Amazon parrots, Conures etc from $10 per day and large parrots like Cockatoos and Macaws from $14 per day.

Buying a pet parrot is not only a financial invesment it is also a pet you will have for the next 50 + years. It may therefore be helpful to take some time to see which parrot would suit your lifestyle. The following descriptions are meant purely as a guide to help you decide which parrot is for you. Like people, every parrot has its own unique personality. We encourage our buyers to do additional research.
Blue Fronted Amazon parrots
Amazons are outgoing and colour and make excellent talkers and singers. They are natural performers. They love being around people but can be quite vocal so if you live in an apartment this may not be the bird for you. |

Orange Winged Amazon Parrots
They make sweet and affectionate pets and will bond very closely with their owners. As they mature they can go through 'bluffing' and therefore recommended for experienced parrot owners |

Yellow Naped Amazons
These are amongst the most popular Amazons to have as a pet. They will form a very close bond to their owners and are excellent talkers. Amazon parrots are all prone to weight gain so its important that they have a few hours each day to exercise outside their cages. |

African Grey parrots
These parrots are considered to be the best talkers in the parrot family and can learn to string phrases together. If you are looking for a family pet that everyone can cuddle and love, this parrot is not recommended. They generally prefer one person and will tolerate other family members. These birds are very sensitive. |

Blue and Gold Macaws
This is a medium to large macaw. These macaws are very social animals and love to be petted and held however can also amuse themselves. The are good talkers and fast learners. Recommended as a family parrot |

Green Wing Macaws
These can be very gentle affectionate birds and are known as 'gentle giants'. They are very responsive to training. If you want a Green Wing Macaw make sure you have a lot of time to devote to it. They need a lot of mental and physical stimulation. New owners should be prepared to spend 2 to 3 hours a day of supervised out-of-the-cage supervision. Recommended for experienced parrot owners. |

Scarlet Macaws
These birds are highly intelligent but need lots of stimulation to keep them tame. They can get bored very easily. Like all macaws they can get rather noisy! If you are living in apartment make sure you get on with your neighbours. They make wonderful pets but recommended for folk who are prepared to spend at least 2 to 3 hours a day entertaining them. If not properly trained and socialised they can become destructive. |

Military Macaws
These birds are social and very vocal! Like all macaws they require a lot of attention each day. They are not known to be particularly affectionate but will make an excellent pet for the right owner. If handled and trained properly they will make very easy going companions. If you enjoy having a lie in, forget it, these birds will tell you the sun's up. |

Pionus Parrots
If you live in a small apartment this is the bird for you. They are quiet, affectionate parrots and make very loving, gentle pets. This breed is particularly popular with apartment owners because its so quiet. These are small to mid-sized parrots. |

Sun Conures
These are intelligent birds and very popular as pets. Easy to train. This bird requires a lot of attention and is not suitable for owners who cannot devote several hours a day to it. They can become screamers if neglected and can become destructive if not stimulated. With love and proper training these make wonderful companions. |

Cockatiels
This parrot is one of the most popular birds as pets. They are easy to train, very affectionate, can be kept in apartments. They love to spend time with their owners and their ability to mimic is incredible. Although they can talk they love to sing. Like all parrots they need attention but can be left alone to amuse themselves. |

Moluccan Cockatoos
Moluccan cockatoos bond strongly to their owners. If you want a clingy affectionate bird this one's for you. They are recommended for experienced bird owners who are prepared to spend a lot of quality time with them. |

Rose Breasted Cockatoos
Most cockatoos are regarded as friendly, gentle social birds however Rose Breasted (Galahs) are very independent and like to be cuddled on their own terms. Although they may not always want to he held, they do still crave the company of their owners. They require a cage with toys and equipment to keep them entertained. They have a tendency to nip which is their way of expressing themselves and exploring their surroundings. This can frustrate new owners who mistakenly think they are being aggressive and wanting attention.

Sulphur-crested Cockatoos
These parrots are often bought as companion pets but they are demanding and require a devoted owner who is prepared to give them hours of attention. They are very vocal and not recommended in apartments. They are exceptionally loving pets. Lack of attention can lead to feather plucking and destructive behavoiur. |

Umbrella Cockatoos
These make extremely loving family pets and can be safely handled by older children. They are sweet and charming but like all cockatoos require a lot of space and entertainment to keep them from becoming bored.

Goffins Cockatoos
Goffins Cockatoos are one of the smaller Cockatoos. They are very gentle and can be noisy especially at dawn and dusk. They need attention and a good supply of toys to keep them occupied when left unattended. Like all Cockatoos, they make excellent locksmiths and work out how to get out of their cages in no time at all.
